PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Mulch Measure ("this site") handles information when you use it. It covers the calculators, the pages, and the advertising and affiliate links on the site.
Calculator inputs
The calculators run entirely in your own browser. The measurements you type are used to compute a result on your device and are not sent to this website or to us. This site has no user accounts, no forms that submit your data to a server, and no file uploads.
Your theme preference
If you switch between light and dark mode, the site stores your choice in your browser's local storage under the key mm-theme. That value stays in your browser, is not a cookie, and is not transmitted to us. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.
Advertising and cookies
This site is free to use and is supported by advertising and by affiliate links. Advertising on this site is served by third-party vendors, including Google.
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, users can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
We do not currently work with any other third-party advertising network. If that changes, this policy will name those vendors and link to their own opt-out pages.
Google's own handling of data is described in the Google Privacy & Terms pages, including how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Affiliate links
Some pages contain affiliate links, including links to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. These links are labelled as advertising on the page where they appear, and they are marked with rel="sponsored".
Clicking an affiliate link takes you to the retailer's own website. That retailer may set its own cookies and process your visit under its own privacy policy, not this one. Amazon's practices are described in the Amazon Privacy Notice.
Hosting and technical data
This site is served through Cloudflare. Like any web host or content delivery network, Cloudflare processes standard technical request data — such as the IP address your request comes from, the page requested, and the time — in order to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. We do not use that data to identify individual visitors.
Analytics
We count visits in aggregate to understand which guides are useful. Any analytics used on this site is cookieless and does not build a profile of you across other websites.
Children
This site is written for adults planning landscaping and gardening projects, and it is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Other websites
Links from this site lead to other websites that we do not control. Once you follow a link, the destination site's own privacy policy applies.
Changes to this policy
If the site's data practices change — for example, if a new advertising partner is added — this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
